The goal of Big Brain English is to make people’s lives better through education. We believe that the greatest method to provide all of our students with relevant educational and life-changing content is through our English study program. To keep our platform and services secure for you, us, and both our student and teacher communities, we do, however, need regulations. All of your activities on the Big Brain English website are subject to these Terms.
1. Accounts
All activity on our platform require an account, including buying and accessing content. You must enter accurate and complete information, including a working email address, when creating and maintaining your account. You are solely responsible for your account and everything that occurs on it, including any harm or damage done to us or anyone else as a result of unauthorized use of your account. This calls for careful password management. You are not permitted to use or transfer another person’s account. We won’t offer you access to an account if you contact us and ask for it unless you can give us the details we need to verify that the account is yours.
2. Payments, Credits, and Refunds
You consent to using a legitimate payment method when you make a payment. You can get in touch with us and explain your situation if you don’t think your content is compelling enough for us to investigate deeper into it.
We periodically offer English Lesson specials and promotions during which particular content is offered at a discounted price for a predetermined period of time. When you complete your purchase of the content, the price that applies to it will be the price at that time (at checkout).
The displayed currency is dependent on your location at the time you created your account if you are logged into your account. The price currency is determined by your location if you are not connected into your account. Users cannot view prices in other currencies using our website.
We are in charge of collecting and sending the applicable tax to the appropriate tax authorities if you are a student who lives in a nation where use and sales tax, goods and services tax, or value added tax is applicable to consumer sales. Depending on where you are, these taxes may be included in the price you see or may be applied at the point of purchase.
3. Big Brain English's Rights
The website, any current or upcoming applications and services, as well as elements like our logos, APIs, code, and material produced by our employees, are all parts of the Big Brain English platform and Services that we own. They cannot be tampered with or used without permission.
The Big Brain English platform and Services, as well as our website, any current or future applications, our APIs, databases, and any content that our partners or employees submit or provide through our Services (apart from content provided by instructors and students), are and will always be the sole property of Big Brain English and its licensors. Our platforms and services are shielded from infringement by copyright, trademark, and other laws in force in the US and other nations. We do not provide you permission to make use of the Big Brain English name or any of the Big Brain English trademarks, logos, domain names, or other distinguishing brand characteristics.
While using the Big Brain English platform and services, you may not engage in any of the following activities:
- Disable, meddle with, or attempt to get around any platform security features, or poke, scan, or test any system’s susceptibility.
- Copying or altering any content on the Big Brain English platform or services, as well as trying to find the source code or creating a derivative work based on it is prohibited.
- Access, search, or attempt to access or search our platform using any method (manual or automated) other than the search features we now offer through our website, mobile apps, or API (and only pursuant to those API terms and conditions).
- You are not permitted to access the Services using scraping, spider, robot use, or any other automated method. Use the Services in any way that alters, deceives, or falsely identifies the source of information (such as sending email communications purporting to be from Big Brain English); interferes with, or attempts to interfere with, the access of any user, host, or network, including, without limitation, sending a virus, overloading, flooding, spamming, or mail-bombing the platforms or services; or in any other way that burdens the Services excessively.
4. Updating These Terms
When we introduce new features or clarify our policies in some other way, we may amend these Terms to reflect those changes. Big Brain English maintains the right to alter and/or change these Terms at any time in its sole discretion. If we make any significant changes, we will provide you clear notice by posting a notice on our website or sending an email to the email address listed in your account. Unless otherwise specified, changes take effect the day they are posted.
You will be deemed to have accepted modifications if you continue to use our Services after they take effect. All previous Terms are superseded by any amended Terms.
